On Wednesday 24th April St Dominic’s athletes enjoyed great success at Santry for Day 1 of the North Leinster Schools Track and Field competition.
First Years
Maisy Kenny made the final of the hurdles, Jessica Ryan was 2nd in the 500m, Caroline Monk was 4th in the 1100m and Emma Dempsey was 6th.
Our relay team of Maisy, Pearl O’Brien, Saoirse Rogers and Jessica Ryan won their heat and came 2nd in the final.
Junior
Danielle Obioha won her heat and came 4th in the final of the 100m. Lama Elghobashy also ran in the 100m and did her best but didn’t progress to the final.
Erin Byrne came 3rd in the mile under 16 and Aoibhinn Byrne came 4th. The U16 Relay Team of Martha Fisher, Danielle Obioha, Erin and Aoibhinn Byrne came first in their final.
U17
Chidinma Adikaibe came 2nd in the 100m final, Martha Fisher came 4th in the hurdles final , Aimee Ryan was 3rd in the 300m final, Goda Buivydyte came 3rd in the 1500m final.
Senior
Our lone ranger in the Senior races was Cliodhna Ryan who came 3rd in the Senior 1500m.
