Our fourth Student Voice Forum meeting was held on 16th March. The focus this time was ‘Questioning: The learner’s experience’.
Teachers ask many different types of questions to support teaching and learning in different ways. The purpose of this meeting was to gather the views of students on this important aspect of teaching and learning.
Students spoke about a range of points, including their understanding of why teachers ask questions and the types of questions teachers ask. They shared their thoughts on which questioning strategies they prefer, and how they feel answering questions in class. As always these ideas were fed back to teachers and will inform planning going forward.
Many thanks to Ms McManus for organising and facilitating the meeting, and thank you to our Student Voice Forum members for giving their time to take part in this initiative.
