The Annual School Sponsored Walk is coming up, and this year’s walk should be bigger than ever! We’re hoping to raise at least €7,000 through the walk this year. This money will go towards teaching and learning in the school. In the past, the money has gone towards mobile choir steps, upgrading the courtyard, supplying project materials for classes, covering some transport costs for sporting events, helping with running costs for the Big Sister programme, funding the cost of guest speakers and much much more.
In order to raise the money, we need everyone to participate. This year, the sponsored walk will take place on Friday 29th September – right at the end of Healthfest.
Before the event, every student will be given a sponsorship card. They must bring it in – filled out and with any money raised – on the 29th.
The sponsored walk is, above all, a fun, whole-school event.
Students accessorise their uniforms with the following colours, according to their year groups:
- First Year: Pink
- Second Year: Yellow
- Third Year: Blue
- Fourth Year: Red
- Fifth Year: Green
- Sixth Year: Black
