Ms O’Brien and Melanie Smyth are encouraging students to mind their minds and to be wise about their use of technology and remember to take plenty of breaks from screentime. Mr Hussain, Science teacher, supports with the regulation beads being used to help students with their mental health. Stay in the Green Zone, girls Mindfulness Cards are being used with students to help with their mental health. Ciara talks to two students (Fajinmi Ayanfejesu and Oyinloye Adetoun) interested in giving Rugby a TRY. Katie McDonnell speaks to 6th year students today about striking the balance and how students can balance a good study routine along with keeping fit and well during their leaving certificate Year. February 2018: Thanks to Dr Rouse for sharing his own University experience. Sixth year students listen attentively to Dr Paul Rouse Associate Professor of History in UCD. Ms O’Brien welcomes Dr Paul Rouse to speak to 6th years as one of a series of talks to encourage growth mindset and encourage students to never give up on their ambitions. This talk is one of a series of Growth Mindset talks encouraging our students to progress to third level and to never give up on their ambitions. 6th year students follow up on Carol Dweck’s theory of growth mindset in Career class with Ms O’Brien following their Mind to Mind talk from UCD professor Dr Paul Rouse. 6th year student Alison Burke enjoys a Growth mindset video in career class this afternoon (23rd February).
