Can you describe your course in a little detail? How many years did it take? Was it difficult? Were you able to work while you studied? Were there placements?

My course is about sustainable energy and the use of it within engineering, solar panels, wind energy etc would be a part of my course. This course is a four year course. It was difficult this year during covid but I am enjoying the material that I am learning.

Did you enjoy college and would you recommend it to others? What were the pros and cons of your course?

I would recommend college to people who would like to experience it, college is not for every person so it depends of who you are.

Do you have advice for any of our students who might be interested in your subject or course?

Really learn your physics if you’re doing it for the leaving Certificate, it really comes in handy. The course is very interesting and if you joined my course I would definitely be open to helping you out!

Would you be happy for current students to contact you with questions about your career / college / course choice?

Yes – I’m happy to answer emails directly from current students

What are your achievements, prizes or high points since you’ve left school?

I am currently competing to create my own piece of art on traffic light boxes all over Dublin. I have finished my first year of college and can’t wait to go on to another year.

We are grateful to any past pupils of St Dominic's College who take the time to complete this questionnaire. It may help current students who are trying to decide what to do in the future. If you have a few moments to spare, you can complete the questionnaire here.
