The Parents’ Association is the working partnership through which both parents and guardians can effectively work side by side with the Principal, staff and board of management. The aim of the Parents’ Association is to achieve the best possible education for their children.
The Parents’ Association endeavours to build a solid and dependable working relationship between the school and home. Research shows that the involvement of the parents has a positive effect on the achievements of children in the school. The association can be a means of support for parents.
The association can make representations to the school on issues of policy and advise the Principal and board on any matter affecting the school. Policies such as bullying, safety, homework, behaviour and enrolment are discussed.
The committee organise extracurricular activities and fund raising events. All parents are automatically members of the association and are welcome to get involved in the day-to-day activities of the organisation.
