Our Transition Years had a wonderful day out at the PE Xpo in DCU on Wednesday 29th March.
Four groups presented projects to an excellent standard:
Group 1 ‘Faster Fashion’ by Sadbh Dunne, Eva Corcoran and Ellen Blaney looking at “Does sporting attire affect girls’ participation in sport?”;
Group 2 ‘Just keep beating’ by Clodagh O’Rourke and Cara Kelly which investigated “What is the difference in heart rate bpm during exercise and at rest”;
Group 3 ‘Fast and Fearious’ by Vanessa Verona, Molly McRae and Niamh O’Toole which investigated whether participants could run a 20m sprint quicker if they were fearful;
Group 4 ‘Going for Gold’ by Jing Yan Lin, Caitlin Dowdall and Lily Farrell which was an investigation into the rewards and incentives to participating in sport and exercise.
Thanks to Ms O’Brien for all her hard work mentoring the projects.
