We are celebrating Literacy Week at St. Dominic's College from 1st to 4th of March. Students will be participating in activities and there will be competitions for different year groups. Keep an eye out around the school for displays throughout the week.

It has been a busy couple of weeks for our athletes with a several students participating in a number of events.
Coffee and Cake for 6th Years
6th Years took a break from the books today to enjoy a treat of coffee and cake in the sunshine.
New Board Games Club
Come and join our new board games club in the library at lunch time on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
Student Voice Forum on Wellbeing
Wellbeing was on the agenda for our first Student Voice Forum of 2022. As always there was great discussion among our students, who had many good ideas to contribute.
Gaeilge 24
On Friday 3rd December there was a great atmosphere around the school as 4th and 1st Year students took part in Gaeilge 24, a challenge to speak Irish for 24 hours.
Senior European Cross Country Championships
The Senior European cross country championships were held in Abbottstown on Sunday 12th December. Congratulations to Cliodhna Ryan (4th Year) and Goda Buivydyte (2nd Year) who were selected to represent our school community at the event. Trade Fair, Thursday 9th December 2021
22 mini companies from TY and 5LCA participated in our annual trade fair on Thursday 9th December. It was an amazing day where the students got to showcase their products and services.
Gaisce Awards, 2021
Twelve 5th Year students received their Gaisce Award certificates and medals from Ms McCarthy, their Gaisce PAL leader, on Friday 3rd December.
